The main purpose of filed day demonstrations is to show how permanent conservation and the project is usually finished in a three day period. Associate members provide some or all of the machinery and materials, while contractor members operate the dozer, scrapers, tiling machines and other equipment necessary to complete the work. Land improvement contractors also construct other systems that are designed to clean up and maintain our water. On-site waste management systems, septic systems, sewage lagoons and livestock waste treatment lagoons all require special skills in design and construction. LICA Contractors keep up with modern ideas and are kept current with new and changing regulations. Those who attend these types of field days often learn new ideas that help their business be more profitable.
